The NEWA original Mechanical Prefilter for the Cobra Internal Filter is the mechanical pre-filtration sponge engineered to intercept debris, organic residues and suspended particles before they reach the biological and chemical filtration stages — protecting them from premature clogging and significantly multiplying their service life. Unlike generic third-party sponges — often manufactured in non-calibrated density polyester, prone to deformation and structural collapse — the NEWA Mechanical Prefilter is produced in high-density filter material with a calibrated pore structure: effective particle retention without restricting hydraulic flow, session after session. Its shape is precision-engineered to millimetre accuracy for the NEWA Cobra pre-filter chamber, guaranteeing a perfect perimeter seal: no bypass of unfiltered water, no loss of efficiency.
