UV-C sterilisation is only effective when the lamp delivers its full germicidal output. An ageing UV-C lamp continues to illuminate and consume energy — but its irradiation capacity progressively degrades over time, often with no visible indication. The result: your steriliser is running, but it is no longer sterilising. Algae, pathogenic bacteria and microorganisms proliferate unchecked.
The NEWA original UV-C Lamp is engineered and calibrated to work in perfect synergy with NEWA filter optical systems — the dual mirror-polished reflective screen of the Mirror UVC and Mirror UVC Hang On, the irradiation chamber of the Pure Light UV-C Advance — delivering the maximum germicidal dose defined at product design stage. A generic non-original lamp, even at the same declared wattage, cannot replicate the required photometric specifications: spectral emission, UVC intensity distribution and tube geometry all critically determine real sterilisation effectiveness. The result of a non-original replacement is inferior protection — invisible, but real.
